OnePlus 15: Software Focus, Massive Battery, and Potential Price Drop Signal โAspiring New Flagship
Shenzhen, China – โคOnePlus is poised to launch its next flagshipโ smartphone, theโ OnePlus 15, in China โคthis October, with a global rollout anticipated for November or December 2025.While boasting a perhaps lower starting price thanโ its predecessor, โtheโ device appears to prioritize software innovationโ – particularly a new “DetailMax” โคimageโ processing technology – alongside a substantial battery capacity and rapid chargingโ capabilities.โ Pre-orders are already open in China, with promotional materials hinting at โขan October 27th release date.
The OnePlus 15 represents a shift in strategy, according to recent reports, potentially trading hardware specifications for enhanced computational photography. Rumorsโ indicate a triple-cameraโ system featuring three 50โข MP sensors:โ a main sensor (LYT-808, โ1/1.56 inch), an ultra-wide angle (Samsung JN5), โฃand a periscope telephoto (Samsung JN5, 1/2.76 inch with 3.5x optical zoom). Notably, these sensors areโ physically smaller than those found in theโข OnePlus 13. This downsizing suggests OnePlus is heavily relying on its newโค DetailMax software to deliver comparable or improved imageโ quality. A 32 MP front-facing camera is also expected.
Beyond the camera, the OnePlus 15 is expected to feature a massive battery ranging from 7,000 to 7,800 mAh, supporting 100W orโ 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Pricing is currently speculated to start around 500 yuan in China, potentially translating to a global price of approximately $899 (or โฌ770 excluding taxes) – a โslight decrease fromโฃ the OnePlus 13’s launch price.
