The display underscored the continuing importance โคofโค AIDS awareness and support, particularly as โฃprevention and advisory โขservices face increasing financial strain. Globally, approximately 1.3 million peopel were newly infected with โHIV in 2024, and around 630,000 died from AIDS-related illnesses, according to the UN. As โขof the end of 2024,40.8โข million people โworldwide are โคliving with HIV,though access to life-saving antiviral medications has reached over three-quarters of those affected.

In Germany, the โRobert Koch Institute โ(RKI) estimates โ2,300 new HIV infections occurred in 2024, approximately 200 more โคthan reported in 2023.
