Actor รscarโ Casas, star of the recently released romantic comedy You Haveโ Stolen My Heart, revealed he โdeliberately avoids the pervasive influence of social media, keeping platformsโ like Twitter,โค Instagram, and TikTokโค off his phone.โ The โข27-year-old actor discussed thisโ choice alongside insights into theโ film’s themes โขand a notably challenging winter scene during a recent interview.
While Youโ have Stolen My Heart is a lighthearted โstory aimed at a younger audience,Casas acknowledged concerns โthat its premise-centered โคon characters financially secure enough to dramatically alter their lives-could be misinterpreted as โขpromoting the idea that happiness โis solely attainable through wealth.โ He clarified that the โfilm portrays characters already cozy,who nonetheless seek deeperโ fulfillment,and aren’tโ struggling with basic needs.
“The money helps to have solvency if you want to โbreak with everything; but in this โฃfilm we tell the โstory of โฃa girl from a high class with a veryโ wealthy family โand a boy who lives in Madrid in a goodโฃ apartment [even though shared with two friends] with a goodโฃ job,”โฃ Casas explained. โ”They don’t haveโข it challengingโค financially. They are not two peopel who have a hard timeโ making endsโ meet or who don’t have enough โฃto eat. Still โthey โฃbreak โup withโ theirโฃ lives.”
The actor also detailed the logistical and physical โdemands of filming aโข scene set in the frigid waters of the Lake ofโ Sanabria in February.Despite the harsh conditions, Casas confirmed the scene was authentically shot on โlocation, with extensiveโฃ safety precautions in place.
“It’s exactly as itโค appears inโ the film, in February.Totally real and cold,” Casasโข said. “they had everything very prepared with heating tents and ther โคwas an ambulance in case something happened to us. Everything was very measured. The body โขis powerful and with the adrenaline it wasn’tโ as horrible.”
