Shigeru Miyamoto, the celebrated creator of the Zelda franchise, revealed that the film is experiencing delays due to “production reasons.” While specific details remain scarce, the postponement follows multiple previous adjustments to the release schedule. The current target date is two months later than previously communicated.

Nintendo enjoyed a massive success in 2023 with The Super Mario Bros. Movie, leading to initial expectations of a swift follow-up.
