Spotifyโ Now Lets You Share Listening Stats Anytime, Directly to Social Media
Spotify is โคexpanding beyond its โฃannual Wrapped feature, now offering โusers the ability to access and share their listening statistics – daily, weekly, or monthly – directly with friends on social media. Previously, users were limitedโ to viewing a year-end summary of their listeningโ habits.
The new “listeningโฃ stats” feature, โขannouncedโข via โฃSpotify’s For the Record โคblog, is available to both Free and Premiumโ users. โUsers can access โฃtheir data by navigating to โขtheir profile โคicon, opening the menu, and selecting the “listening stats” tab. โData is categorized by songs, artists, and overall listening insights, automatically compiled by Spotify.
Beyond simply viewing the stats, Spotifyโ has streamlined the sharing process. Users โcan โeasily share their stats โto connected social media accounts, includingโข Instagramโค Stories, TikTok Feed andโค Stories, TikTok DMs, Snapchat Story and Messages, โขFacebook Stories, Feed, โฃ& messenger, and โคthe newly reintroduced โขSpotify Messaging.
Thisโ expanded sharingโค functionality also extends to real-time song streaming data, which can be shared to Instagram Notes. While currently, sharing listeningโ stats specifically to Instagram Notes โคisn’t supported, โSpotify hasn’t ruledโ it out for future updates.
The update aims to foster โขgreater connectionโค between users by allowing them to shareโฃ their musical tastes and habits more frequently and easily โขwith their network.โข Spotify detailed theโฃ expandedโ socialโฃ sharing capabilitiesโค in a โseparate blog post, emphasizing the โgoal ofโฃ connecting users with friends and family through music.
