Dundee delivered a major upset in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday,defeating reigning champions Celtic 2-0 at Dens park in a match delayed by protests against the Celtic board.
The breakthrough came in the 18th minute when Clark Robertson headed home a corner from Cameron Congreve, giving Dundee the lead.
Dundee doubled their advantage in first-half stoppage time through Joe Westley, whose flicked effort deflected off cameron Carter-Vickers and past the Celtic goalkeeper.
Despite dominating possession with 87.1% of the ball in the second half, Celtic failed to find a way through the resolute Dundee defense, managing only two shots on target from nine attempts.
Celtic were denied a potential lifeline in the 70th minute when a penalty decision was overturned by VAR.Reo Hatate’s 77th-minute attempt was then cleared off the line by Luke Graham.
The result leaves Celtic five points behind league leaders Hearts.

This marks Celtic’s first away defeat to Dundee as September 1988, ending a 36-match unbeaten run against Dundee away from home (W28 D8).
The victory also ended a 46-game winless streak for Dundee against Celtic in all competitions,dating back to a 2-0 triumph in May 2001.
Cameron Congreve delivered a standout performance for Dundee, registering his fourth assist of the Premiership season – the most in the Scottish top flight.
