Rapid Global Delivery:โ Space-Based Cargo System set โfor 2026 Launch
A new system promising one-hour cargo deliveryโข anywhere in the world isโ being developed by U.S.-based โInvorsion Space.The company recently unveiled “arc,” a vehicle designed to facilitate this rapid global transport.
The core of the system relies on launching Arc into Earth orbit via rocket. Once โin orbit, the vehicle canโ store cargo for up to five โyears. When needed, Arc will re-enter the atmosphere, utilizing onboard engines to reach speeds 20 times the speed of โsound. This velocity willโข allow it โto reach any global destination in under โฃan hour. Essentially, Arc acts as an โขorbiting delivery platform, descending to deliver cargo on demand.
Currently,Arc has a carrying capacity of 225 kilograms โ(approximately 225 pounds). Deliveries will utilize an autonomous parachute system, capable of landing โwith pinpoint accuracy within 15โค meters ofโ the designated target.
Invorsionโฃ Space founder โJustin Fiaschetti stated theโฃ initial focus will be โserving the defence industry, with plans to โฃexpandโฃ to civilianโ applications in the future. “When we look โat the transportationโ systemsโฃ we are currently using, you will see that theyโฃ have started to serve military purposes. I think it will โขhappen in the space-based system,” Fiaschetti explained.
The โขfirst orbital flight of โฃArc is scheduled for 2026. The company’s goal is to establish a โฃcomprehensive global โdeliveryโฃ networkโ by 2028,deploying hundreds of โขArc vehicles.
