Pecรฉm, Cearรกโ – tiktok announced Wednesday a important investment exceeding US$37.69 billion in the construction of a new data center located โin theโ industrial and port complex of Pecรฉm, โฃin the northeastern brazilian state of Cearรก.The announcement was โคmade by Monica Guise, TikTok’s head of Public Policies for Brazil, during an event attended by President Luiz Inรกcio Lula โda Silva.

The investment, according to a company statement, includes an estimated US$20.34 billion earmarked for the import of high-tech equipment between now and 2035. TikTok anticipates the data center will be fully operational by 2027.
Partnerships and Renewable Energy Commitment
TikTok is partnering with Omnia,โ a data centerโค firm owned by investment company Patria, and Casa dos Ventos, a renewableโ energy operator, for this project. Notably, โthe data center will be โฃpowered entirely by renewable energy generated from newly constructed wind farms, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable operations.
