Google Issues critical Update Forโ All Pixel Users-Attacks confirmed
MOUNTAIN VIEW,CA – december 4,2025 โค-โ Google has โreleased an โขurgent security updateโข forโ all Pixelโข phones following confirmation of active โคattacks โฃexploiting critical vulnerabilities inโค the Android operating system.The update addresses CVE-2025-48633 andโข CVE-2025-48572,flaws within Android’s core framework,and โฃis being rolled out immediately to all Pixel devices.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has โคalso issued aโ directive mandating that all federal government employees updateโฃ their Pixel phones by โDecember 23rd or power them down. Though, security experts recommend โall Android users prioritize updating their devices, irrespectiveโ of employment โstatus, due toโ the confirmed exploitation โขof these vulnerabilities.
December’s security โคbulletin represents a “bumper update” for android, with multiple vulnerabilities being addressed. While โขCVE-2025-48633โ and CVE-2025-48572 are the most pressing concerns, the โupdate encompasses a broaderโ range of security enhancements.
Google emphasizes theโ speed and seamlessness of itsโข update process โฃfor Pixel users. “You will receive a notificationโฃ once the system update is โคavailable โfor yourโค device,” google states. “We encourageโ you to check your Android version and โupdate to โreceive the latest software.”
Samsung has also โขreleased updates to address โthe vulnerabilities, but โthe rollout is expected to take the entire month of December, leaving manny users exposed for a longerโ period. Unlike Pixel, โฃSamsung’s update process is โnot seamless for all devices, particularly older flagships.
