Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy A57 smartphone in the coming months, potentially as early as February or March, according to reports from Jakarta-based CNBC Indonesia. The device, a mid-range offering, is expected to build on the success of its predecessor, the Galaxy A56, which debuted in March 2025.
The Galaxy A57 is anticipated to feature a remarkably slim profile, measuring just 6.7mm in thickness – a marginal 0.5mm reduction from the A56. Dimensions are reported as 161.5 x 76.8 mm, with a lighter weight of 182 grams, 18 grams less than the previous model. These specifications suggest a focus on creating a compact and easily handled device.
Renderings of the Galaxy A57 indicate a potentially thicker bezel along the bottom edge of the display. The phone will utilize a rigid OLED panel sourced from CSOT, according to reporting from VOI.id. Internally, the A57 is expected to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1680 chip, a move that promises faster performance compared to earlier A-series models. The device will be available with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM.
Pricing for the Galaxy A57 remains unconfirmed. Still, analysts anticipate a price point consistent with the mid-range market, potentially mirroring the Pixel 9a. Tech Advisor notes that the cost of RAM and storage has been increasing, and the A56 saw a price increase over the A55, moving from approximately £439 / $479 to £499 / $499.
