Surabaya,โข Indonesia -โค A โคsuspect in a potential mutilation case was apprehended by Mojokertoโ Policeโ investigators โatโ a boarding house in the Tongue Wetan area of Surabaya onโค Sunday, September 7,โฃ 2025, at approximately 1:00 AMโฃ local time.
The arrest of โthe individual, identified as Alvi, who had resided at the boarding house for five months, comes amid heightened concern following theโ findingโ of 66 human body parts in a bush pathway near Pacet, Mojokerto. While authorities have not yet confirmed ifโค these remains are the result of a deliberate mutilation, the โคdiscoveryโ has stirred unrest among local residents.
Heru, Chairman of RT 01 RW 01 Tongue Wetan, confirmed the police operation. “The arrest was at 01.00 โขWIB in the morning, his name is Alvi. Kos 5 months here,” โคhe stated to reporters. Heru assisted police during the arrestโฃ after being informed ofโค the โsuspected connection to a mutilationโ case.
“The police โsay the mutilationโ case, but I don’t know which case,” Heru added. He described Alvi asโ appearingโ calm during the arrest,โข observingโ him as “relaxing” from a distance.
Following the โขarrest, the boarding house was secured โฃwith a โขpolice line.Authorities have not yet disclosed specific details regarding potentialโข charges or the โฃexamination’s progress. The recovered body parts from โPacet included soles of the feet, wrists, and a scalp complete with hair, according to police reports.
