Lenovo unveiled the ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2 at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, positioning the convertible laptop as a user-repairable option for business professionals. The new model, based on the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7, will be available in May 2026 with a starting price of 1,750 euros.
The T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2 distinguishes itself from the standard T14s Gen 7 through its 360-degree metal hinges, enabling tablet mode functionality, and the inclusion of a touchscreen with a glass panel. Lenovo has reintroduced a feature absent in the previous 2-in-1 version: a built-in, garaged pen primarily intended for note-taking. The device also accommodates larger, magnetically attachable pens for users who prefer them.
While the new 2-in-1 is lighter than its predecessor, it weighs 1.34 kg compared to the original’s 1.4 kg, it remains heavier than the standard T14s. Processor options are limited to Intel Panther Lake variants; AMD and Qualcomm CPUs are not available for this model. The laptop will support up to 64 GB of soldered RAM and a maximum SSD capacity of 2 TB.
Screen options for the T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2 are more streamlined than those offered with the T14s Gen 7, lacking the 2.8K OLED display. The available screen will be a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) IPS panel. According to Lenovo, the T14s 2-in-1 Gen 2 is the company’s first user-repairable convertible laptop.
