Chrysler Recalls Over 320,000 Jeep Plug-in Hybrids Over⁣ Battery Fire​ Risk

Detroit,MI – Chrysler is initiating a ⁣considerable recall affecting more than 320,000 jeep plug-in hybrid vehicles due to a potential defect in the battery that could result in‌ a fire. The recall, announced by​ U.S. traffic safety regulators,⁢ impacts a wide range of popular Jeep models.

According to the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Chrysler, a subsidiary ⁤of Stellantis,has​ received 19 reports related​ to the issue,including one reported ⁣injury. ⁣The problem centers around a potential failure within the high-voltage battery​ pack.

The recall encompasses:

  • 228,221 Jeep Wranglers (model years 2020-2025)
  • 91,844 Jeep Grand⁢ Cherokees (model years 2022-2026)

Urgent​ Safety Advice for‌ Owners: The NHTSA is strongly advising⁢ owners of affected vehicles to park their ‌vehicles ‍outdoors and away ⁤from ​any ‌structures until a repair is available. Critically,owners are also instructed to refrain from charging ⁤their vehicles. This precautionary measure is designed to‌ minimize the risk of a potential fire.

Chrysler plans to begin‍ sending interim notification letters to vehicle owners ‌by December ​2, 2025. A second notification will be sent once a ⁤definitive remedy for the issue has been developed ⁢and approved.

Vehicle owners ⁤can identify if their vehicle is subject to⁤ this recall by referencing recall number 68C.⁤ They can contact Chrysler customer service directly at 800-853-1403 for assistance. Furthermore, the NHTSA will make a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) lookup ‍tool available⁢ on‍ NHTSA.gov starting November 6, 2025. ‌ The NHTSA also notes ‍that vehicles previously ‍recalled for the same ⁢issue under prior recall campaigns will require the new remedy⁢ to be performed.

The batteries at the center of this⁤ recall ‌are⁤ manufactured by Samsung SDI America,‌ based ⁣in Auburn Hills, ​Michigan.

Multivitamins Sold on Amazon ⁣Recalled Due to Child Poisoning Risk

CHICAGO – Thousands of bottles of⁣ multivitamins sold on Amazon are being recalled after being found to‍ pose a serious risk of accidental poisoning to young children,⁢ teh U.S. consumer Product Safety ​Commission (CPSC) announced.The recall ⁣affects products manufactured by VitaQuest International and sold under the Blueroot Health⁣ brand.

The recall stems from a defect in ⁣the bottle caps, wich ⁤are not ‍child-resistant. ⁣This lack of safety‌ feature⁣ creates a ‍potentially ⁣deadly hazard if the vitamin contents ⁢are ​ingested by children. The CPSC states ⁣the risk is ⁤of “serious ⁣injury or death from child poisoning.”

Blueroot Health is recalling high‍ ADEK multivitamin capsules (available in 90 and 270-count bottles) and One Per Day bariatric ​multivitamin⁢ capsules (90-count bottles).‌ The affected bottles are packaged in⁣ white and orange containers.

According to⁤ the CPSC⁤ alert, only​ bottles wiht smooth cap ⁤tops without the “push down & turn” embossed lettering are included in the ​recall. Consumers are‍ urged to “promptly secure” the recalled items out of sight and reach ​of children. Blueroot‌ Health is offering⁣ child-resistant replacement caps; consumers⁤ can‍ contact the company to⁣ obtain one.

The recall impacts bottles with the following lot numbers printed on the bottom: 0066J4, 0065J4, 0453B5, or 0370B5.

As of the ⁢recall declaration, no injuries have been reported in connection with the affected products.
