DOOMSLAYER‘S VOICE ACTOR JOINS METROID PRIME 4 CAST
Fans of both DOOM and Metroid have reason to celebrate: Jason Kelley, the voice actor for the DOOM Slayer, is part of the cast of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Kelley voices the character of Ezra Duke, a veteran Galactic Federation soldier.
kelley’s involvement was initially revealed via a December 4, 2025, post on X (formerly Twitter) by user @FerrisWheelPro, accompanied by a screenshot of Duke’s character art. The actor himself acknowledged the connection, responding to a fan’s request for a “Samus and DOOM” game with a humorous acknowledgement of the protagonists’ typically silent nature: “I wouldn’t be mad at that pairing. Neither one of us say much.๐”
According to Nintendo’s Japanese website, Duke is described as a seasoned fighter who has “survived countless battles with the Space Pirate army.” He is characterized as stubborn but also sincere and compassionate, making him a dependable ally on the battlefield. Players will encounter Duke during samus’s latest adventure alongside other Galactic federation personnel.
Notably,Metroid Prime 4: Beyond also features a new voice actor for samus Aran,with Erin Yvette replacing Jennifer Hale.
The inclusion of Kelley adds another layer of excitement for fans as they await the release of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, currently slated for release on February 8, 2024. The previous nintendo Switch generation saw releases of multiple DOOM titles, raising hopes for future installments-such as DOOM: The Dark Ages-on potential future Nintendo hardware.
