โThere is no evidence of the suspect’s capacity for self-control capable of curbing him in the event of an aggressive impulse even in the presence of an occasional meeting with his ex-wife and new partnerโ. Thus writes the judge in the precautionary custody order in prison served on a 39-year-old from Sulmona who has been locked up since yesterday in the Peligno institute on charges of persecutory acts.
The facts date back to the months of August and September when the man, already known to the police, had threatened his ex-wife and her current partner on social media with phrases such as “I’ll soon find out where you live. I’ll come and get you at home and after I’ve put my hands on you properly I’ll do the 41 bis with a smile” and “don’t put me in a position to come and look for you otherwise I’ll become dangerous”. Serious threats that the man had repeatedly posted about Facebook after seeing above Tiktok the video with his younger son and his ex’s new partner. Hence, the precautionary custody order in prison ordered by the judge for which there are serious indications of guilt and the measure of house arrest would not be suitable to avoid further threatening and harassing conduct.
Already convicted for the same crime, the 39-year-old had agreed to a total sentence of one year and four months in prison for threatening his wife and mother-in-law, between 2023 and 2024, a period in which the police had found some compressed air guns, a hammer, a military beret and kitchen knives in his home.
The lawyer Annasara Di Pietro will be assisting the suspect who will be subjected to interrogation in the next five days, while the offended people are assisted by the lawyer Teresa Nannarone.
