Pragmata’s Gameplay Deepens with New Upgrade Systems, Increased Difficulty
Capcom’s โคupcoming PS5 shooter, Pragmata, is taking shape with the โคintroduction of โrobustโ upgrade systems for its protagonists, Hugh and Diana, alongside a noticeable increase in gameplay difficulty, according to a recent preview. The โคgame, โขcurrently slated for a 2026 release, aimsโ to refreshโ the shooter genre with unique gameplay mechanics.
Playersโค can invest “data cubes” – foundโฃ throughout levels – โto enhance the heroes’ abilities.Upgrades โfor Diana focus on increasing the โdamage output of her hacks, while Hugh’s weapon damage can also be improved. Some upgrades will โoffer โฃdefensive benefits, and others will allow hacks to target โฃmultiple enemies simultaneously.
During a recent demo playthrough, the advancement team has adjusted the difficulty, โขmaking skirmishes moreโ challenging than in previous โคbuilds. โขThis adjustment appears to be a direct response to the addition of upgrade systems, creating a more ample gameplay โcurve.
pragmata distinguishes itself with “familiar gameplay that’s dramatically amplified byโ its unique gimmicks,” offeringโค a refreshing experience within the shooter landscape. Capcom’s effort is anticipated to be a standout title in aโฃ competitive 2026 release schedule.
