BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. – Christopher Andrew Withey was arrested in North Carolina on october 15 following an undercover operation conducted by the southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, in conjunction with the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest, made in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, was a joint effort with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Withey is facing three felony charges in Virginia under Virginia Code 18.2-374.3, relating to the use of interaction systems to facilitate offenses involving children.He was charged with one count and two subsequent offence counts under the same code.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, the Bedford County sheriff’s Office stated that no further details will be released at this time.
