Jadeveon Clowney Arrested in Rock Hill Following Parking Dispute
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Former University of South Carolina football star and current NFL player Jadeveon Clowney was arrested in Rock Hill on September 12th following an incident at the Dunbar place Apartments.
According too a Rock Hill Police Department report, an officer was assigned to off-duty duty at the apartment complex to enforce parking restrictions during a nearby high school football game, preventing non-residents from parking on the property.
The report details that Clowney drove onto the property and, when approached by the officer, initially stated he was likely attending the football game. He then clarified he was visiting an aunt who resides at the complex. The officer informed Clowney that parking was prohibited for non-residents.
The situation escalated when Clowney reportedly became confrontational, questioning the officer’s authority to have his vehicle towed. Officers subsequently informed Clowney he was being trespassed from the property and requested identification. Clowney refused to provide identification, leading to his arrest on charges of trespassing and failure to identify.
Clowney was a standout player for the South Carolina Gamecocks and was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Most recently, he played for the Carolina Panthers in 2024 and has since signed with the Dallas Cowboys.
