Porsche Unleashes 711hp 911 Turbo S with Revolutionary ‘T-Hybrid‘ โSystem
MUNICH, Germany – Porsche has unveiled the next-generation 911 Turbo S, boasting a groundbreaking hybrid powertrain that elevates output to 711 horsepower. โขThe 2026 model, โrevealed ahead of it’s public debut at the โฃIAA โขMobility motor show in Munich, integrates Porsche’s โnew ‘T-Hybrid’ systemโ – featuring an electric turbocharger -โ to deliver increased performance and responsiveness.
The core โof the T-Hybrid system is a special turbochargerโ incorporating an electric motor positioned between the โฃturbine and โฃcompressor wheels. The system alsoโ includes a 400-volt electrical system, a small lithium-ion battery, and an electric motor integrated intoโฃ the eight-speed PDK gearbox. The Turbo S receives two eTurbos, differentiatingโค it from the 911 GTS which utilizes one.
To manage the increasedโข power, the 911 Turbo โคS features wider rear tires (325/30 ZR 21) compared to the frontโค (255/35 ZR 20), larger rear brake discs, โand a new design of brake pad for the standard Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system. The vehicle also โขutilizes an electro-hydraulically controlled Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (ehPDCC) powered โฃby the โ400-volt system, intended to enhance stability, drivability, and comfort. An optional โคnose-lift feature is available.
Aerodynamic enhancements include โขactive aerodynamics, active cooling with vertical vanes in โคthe nose (shared with โฃthe GTS), an active front diffuser, โคa variable front spoiler, and an extendableโข and tilting rear wing. โThe Turbo S also benefits from a wider body and track, incorporating air intakes aheadโ of the frontโ wheels, a newโ lower rear bumper design withโ vents, and a unique exhaust outlet. A partially titanium sports โexhaust is standard, with customizable outlet and finisher options. โข Exterior detailing โฃincludes ‘Turbonite’ gray accents.
Inside, the turbo S features Turbonite color detailing andโ ‘Turbo S’โฃ branding on the embossedโ headrests of theโฃ Adaptive 18-way Sports Seats Plus. New ‘carbon-structured’ trim strips and a โคmicrofibre headliner are also included. Theโ coupe version is a two-seater, though a no-cost ‘2+2’ option is available at the timeโ of ordering; the Cabriolet model always accommodates four passengers.
