Apple will โขbecome the exclusiveโฃ home of Formula 1 broadcasts in the United States beginning โinโค 2026, a partnership heralded โas a major โshift in the sport’s media landscape.โค The agreement encompasses โขlive streaming of every โGrand Prix, Sprint, โขqualifying session, andโฃ practice session on Apple TV.
To broaden accessibility, select races and all practice sessions will be available for free through the Apple TV app. Moreover,โ F1 TV Premium, Formulaโฃ 1’s current subscriptionโค service, willโ be offered โexclusivelyโข through Apple โขTV in the U.S., with existing subscribers receiving โคcomplimentaryโ access as part of the new package.
This collaboration extends beyond raceโค coverage, with Apple planning to integrate formula 1โ contentโ across its wider ecosystem, including Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, Apple Sports, and Apple Fitness+. Theโข goal is to create a “multi-platform, immersive experience” for fans.
The โคdeclaration builds onโ the success of F1: โThe Movie, an Apple Original Film released in June โฃ2025 and arriving on Apple TV on December โฃ12. Produced in close โขcollaboration withโข Formula 1 teams and drivers, theโ film has generated nearly $630 million worldwide, becoming the highest-earning โขsports movie ofโฃ all time.
Both Apple and Formula 1 highlighted the potential to attract aโข younger and more diverse audience. A 2025โข Global โขF1 Fan Survey revealed that 47%โค ofโ new U.S. F1 fans โค(those following โtheโค sport for five years or less) are between โข18 and 24 years old, and โคover half areโ female.
