Freiburg (dpa/lsw) – A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a fall on a country road in the Waldshut district. According to the police’s current knowledge, the 35-year-old fell on a curve between Bad Säckingen and Rippolingen on Friday afternoon for an unknown reason. The man slipped under a guardrail and fell a few meters down an embankment. A rescue helicopter took the motorcyclist to a clinic; the L152 was completely closed for two hours.

The entire lane of the state road in Zell am Main (Würzburg district) was blocked. According to the police, the load was a 24 meter long and four meter wide container. The cause of the accident was a collapsed support. The police suspected that the rescue operations and the closure would last until the evening hours. Nobody got hurt.

There he almost collided with a 38-year-old woman and her two- and six-year-old children, police said on Sunday. The 49-year-old then steered his car back onto the road on Saturday, drove over a construction site barrier and damaged a lantern. The emergency services finally found him parking his car.
