Wage board has tapped! Raise the minimum wage nationwide The highest in Phuket is 370 baht, the lowest in Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala is 330 baht, while in Bangkok and surrounding areas it is 363 baht. Prepare to present to the Cabinet to take effect on 1 Jan. 2024.

On December 8, 2023, Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labor Revealed after chairing the 22nd Wage Committee meeting that the Wage Committee had already met to consider setting the minimum wage rate for the year 2024. At the meeting, there was a joint resolution to increase the number of 77 provinces, including:

1) Phuket Province, wage rate 370 baht

2) Central and surrounding provinces group (including Bangkok) there are 6 provinces, the wage rate is 363 baht, namely Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon.

3) Chonburi and Rayong provinces, wage rate 361 baht

4) Nakhon Ratchasima Province, wage rate 352 baht

5) Samut Songkhram Province, wage rate 351 baht

6) Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Saraburi, Chachoengsao, Prachinburi, Khon Kaen and Chiang Mai, wage rate 350 baht.

7) Lopburi Province, wage rate 349 baht

8) Suphan Buri, Nakhon Nayok and Nong Khai provinces, wage rate 348 baht.

9) Krabi and Trat provinces, wage rate 347 baht

10) Kanchanaburi Province Prachuap Khiri Khan, Surat Thani, Songkhla, Phang Nga, Chanthaburi, Sa Kaeo, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Sakon Nakhon, Buriram, Ubon Ratchathani, Chiang Rai, Tak, Phitsanulok. Wage rate 345 baht.

11) Phetchaburi Province, Chumphon, Surin, wage rate 344 baht

12) Yasothon, Lamphun, Nakhon Sawan provinces, wage rate 343 baht

13) Nakhon Si Thammarat, Bueng Kan, Kalasin, Roi Et and Phetchabun provinces, wage rate 342 baht.

14) Chainat, Sing Buri, Phatthalung, Chaiyaphum and Ang Thong provinces, wage rate 341 baht.

15) Ranong, Satun, Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Maha Sarakham, Sisaket, Amnat Charoen, Mae Hong Son, Lampang, Sukhothai, Uttaradit, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Uthai Thani and Ratchaburi. Wage rate 340 baht.

16) Trang, Nan, Phayao, Phrae provinces, wage rate 338 baht

17) Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala provinces, wage rate 330 baht

Mr. Pairot also said that Consideration of the minimum wage in 2024 has an average minimum wage rate of 345 baht/day or an increase of 2 – 16 baht per day or an average of 2.37 percent. The meeting considered and determined it on the basis of equality and Discussion of each province
