Golkar Party recently held a gathering event for cadres from all over Indonesia in Bali. On that occasion, three senior Golkar Party officials reminded them not to easily divide the cadres.

The three party officials with the banyan tree logo, namely the General Chairperson (Ketum) Airlangga HartartoHead of the Advisory Council Luhut Binsar Pandjaitanand Head of the House of Builders Aburizal Bakrie or Ical. They gave instructions to the cadres in the event.

Airlangga mentioned the National Conference (Munas) in his direction. He warned against attempts to divide the party ahead of the National Conference which would replace the party chairman.

“The bottom line is, we, Golkar, don’t want to be divided, Golkar don’t want to be exploited. From now until the National Conference there will definitely be those who try to divide Golkar,” said Airlangga at the Breaking of the Fast and Gathering event for the Indonesian Golkar Party in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, Friday (15/3/2024).

Airlangga emphasized that the party elite has been solid until now. He mentioned Luhut and Ical’s presence at the event.

“But by being here, this proves that the senior Golkar Party is with us. Earlier Mr. Luhut, Mr. Aburizal Bakrie said that if we are united, no one can divide the Golkar Party,” he said.

Luhut also conveyed the same thing. Luhut reminded that no one should shake the party bearing the banyan symbol.

“On this happy afternoon, still in the month of Ramadan, I feel the need to express my highest appreciation for the extraordinary results achieved by the Golkar Party. This achievement is not only a success, but also a great mandate that has been given by the people. So “From that, we must maintain this trust as best as possible,” said Luhut, as quoted on his Instagram account.

Luhut observed that there were two things that would determine the direction of Golkar’s success in the 2024 elections. These two things, said Luhut, were ultimately able to inspire all cadres to fight with enthusiasm and dedication, so that they were able to exceed expectations in the legislative elections.

“First, the consistency of the legislative candidates who tirelessly work hard in the field to get a mandate from the public. Second, the great motivation under the leadership of Ketum @airlanggahartarto_official who is visionary and always follows where the people’s voice takes their side,” he said.

According to Luhut, since the beginning the Golkar Party has been steadfast in its vision and mission to be in line with the government for the progress of the nation and state.

“We will continue to be committed to working together with the government in realizing sustainable development, overcoming various challenges, and improving the welfare of the Indonesian people,” he said.

Ical emphasized the importance of solidity within the party. He reminded cadres not to be divided by parties outside the party.

“I want to agree with what Pak Luhut said earlier, don’t want it to be divided. Don’t want us to be controlled by outsiders,” said Ical.

“Don’t want us to be told to dance on other people’s drums, we beat our own drums, we dance on our own drums,” he added.

On that occasion, Ical also congratulated the Golkar DPD throughout Indonesia and the legislative candidates who had worked during the 2024 elections.

“Congratulations to the DPDs who worked hard, to the legislative candidates who worked hard, whether they won or not. But they have worked hard for the revival of the Golkar Party,” he said.
