Surabaya to Host 2025 Indonesia goes Pink Launch with Focus on โEarly Detection
Surabaya has โคbeen selectedโค as the inaugural โขcity for the 2025 Indonesia Goesโ Pink (IGP) campaign, a nationwide movement โฃdedicated to โbreast cancer awareness and support. โขThe โคevent, themed “Living in Abundance:โ Running โTogether, Inspiring โHope,”โข will be spearheaded by a collaboration between the Adi Husadaโฃ Cancer Center (AHCC) and the Lovepinkโ community.
Indonesia Goes โฃPink, held annually in October, aimsโฃ toโ educate the public andโข provide moral โฃsupport to those affected by breast cancer.The Surabaya โlaunch signifies a commitment to fostering unity and optimism as the campaign expands to othre cities. AHCC will serve as โขan official partner, concentrating on prevention and early detection initiatives.
The event, scheduled for 05:30 to โข09:00 WIB at the Mercure Surabaya Grand Mirama Hotel and the Darmo car Free day area, will feature a Funwalk, aโ Zumba โฃsession, a realize dance for active lifestyles, and educational talk shows.
Dr.โ Ni Made saraswati,AHCC Center Manager,will โฃbe a featured speaker,emphasizing the โimportance of earlyโ detection. “Breast cancer is aโ disease whose healing rate is very high if it is indeedโฃ detected at theโ initial stage. Through Indonesia Goes Pink โ2025, we โฃwant to convey a strong message that โฃearly detection is key,” she stated. Her talk will โspecifically address Breast โSelf-Examination (BSE) and Clinical Breast Check (Sadanis) as proactive prevention methods.
Dr. Silvia Haniwijaya,General Manager of AHCC,highlighted the impact ofโ this collaborative effort. “Community stigma ofโ breast cancer often inhibits screening. No need to be afraid of screening. In fact,the faster it is known,the higher the chances of success in handling,” she explained.
