Another assistant, Zdeněk Houštecký, will also be missing from the substitutes, who will serve a one-match ban from UEFA for behavior in the bowels of the stadium during the match with AS Rome.

“I believe that it will not affect the team in any way. We know how anyone behaves, hopefully the players won’t feel anything,” hopes Köstl. And who will he go to for advice? “We’ll see how it goes with the technological aids, but Kolář, Černý, Řehák will be on the bench,” he adds before Thursday’s match, which starts at 21:00 CET, with an hour more in Tiraspol.

“I absolutely missed our team’s emotions, stubbornness, desire to reverse the result. Of course, Pilsen played excellently, but from our side it was not what we are used to at home. Maybe for the first time in the six years we’ve been here,” Jindřich Trpišovský is not afraid to say.

“It’s a big match for all of Slavia, we appreciate it. I hope we play the way the fans want us to play, fly around the field on Thursday. It’s a really big game for everyone. We want to show a different face than we showed against Pilsen in the second half,” the coach says.
