Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

The War Cabinet initiated by the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during aggression Israel the Palestine is starting to be threatened with disbandment, putting its position on the brink.

A number of ministers in the cabinet are said to be starting to leave Netanyahu.

Ministers in Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s War Cabinet and unranked minister Benny Gantz are reportedly starting to fall out of step with Netanyahu.

The press conference held by Netanyahu a few days ago was not attended by his Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Various parties suspect that there is a dispute between the two leaders.

“I suggested to the defense minister tonight to hold a joint press conference, and he decided what he decided,” said Netanyahu, quoted from Middle East Monitor.

The conflict between Netanyahu is becoming increasingly apparent as aggression continues in Gaza under the pretext of crushing Hamas.

Netanyahu tried to convince the public that Israel’s leaders were working together to deal with the war in Gaza.

Netanyahu attempted to prevent Israel’s Security Cabinet cabinet, including Gallant and Gantz, from receiving credit for the return of 110 Israelis held hostage by Hamas.

One of the photos taken at a press conference last week went viral on social media because it showed Netanyahu alone, while Gallant and Gantz stood together at the side, quoted from Alshar Al-Awsat.

When the war cabinet was first formed, the public was shocked by the involvement of Benny Gantz. The centrist Gantz is known to compete politically with Netanyahu for government seats.

Economy Minister Nir Barkat also stated that he would not support updating the government’s wartime budget which was discussed in the Knesset on Wednesday (29/11).

Barkat rejected the budget plan because it would not be enough to meet the needs of the economy during wartime and would lead to economic collapse, quoted from Times of Israel.

Gantz also rejected the budget because he felt uncomfortable allowing politically promised funds to flow to war needs.

The attitude of Nir Barkat, who is one of the senior figures of the right-wing party, is that he wants changes within the organization. Because of this, Nir Barkat stated that he would leave Netanyahu.

“After the war, we have to give new trust to the people,” said Barkat.

Barkat’s statement also strengthens his desire to win the party leadership seat.

Communication relations between Barkat and Netanyahu appear to be breaking down with no talks between the two since meeting several weeks ago.

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Aggression Israel in Gaza it is reported that they are getting crazy and are now planning to flood the underground tunnels that are suspected of being used Hamas in Gaza with sea water.

It is claimed that Israeli troops are arranging water pumps from the sea to be directed towards Hamas tunnels.

In a Wall Street Journal report quoted by Reuters, Monday (4/12), construction of the water pump system has been underway since mid-November.

There are at least five pumps with channels 1.6 kilometers long that were built on the north side of the Al Shati refugee camp.

“The pump is capable of flowing thousands of cubic meters of water per hour and can flood the tunnel in a matter of weeks,” wrote a Wall Street Journal report as reported. Reuters.

At this time, it is unclear whether the pump will be activated before the hostages are released. The reason is, Hamas said the hostages were said to be in the tunnels.

Meanwhile, the United States (US) stated that the step that Israel would take to submerge the tunnel with water was a reasonable attitude. The US is trying to find a way to make this happen.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Force (IDF) denied having plans to flood the tunnel with water. The IDF claims that it will stop Hamas operations in various ways.

“The IDF operates to dismantle Hamas’ tactics through various means using technological military tools,” the IDF wrote.

So far no decision has been taken by the Israeli side. Nevertheless, Israel’s attacks on Gaza have continued since the ceasefire ended last Friday (1/12).

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Defense Forces Israel (IDF) claims to have discovered 800 holes leading to a network of underground tunnels and bunkers Hamassince ground operations Gaza started on October 27th.

Israel says about 500 of them have been destroyed, either by detonating large explosives inside them or by sealing them up.

According to the IDF, many of the tunnels are connected to Hamas “strategic assets.” They also said they had destroyed hundreds of kilometers of tunnels linked to Hamas.

“The holes are located in civilian areas and many of them are located near or inside educational institutions, kindergartens, mosques and playgrounds,” the IDF said as quoted by Reuters.

In several tunnels, Israel also claims to have found several weapons from the Hamas group.

“These findings are further evidence that Hamas uses civilians as human shields, and as a cover for its terror activities,” added the IDF>

During Israel’s aggression against Palestine for nearly two months, the Zionist State also accused the Hamas group of using several hospitals in Gaza as command centers. One of the accusations was directed at Al Shifa Hospital.

Responding to these accusations, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has strongly denied Israel’s claims regarding the existence of Hamas tunnels under the Al Shifa compound.

Gaza Ministry of Health Director Mounir El Boursh insisted the claim was “purely a lie”.

“They (Israel) have raided and investigated the hospital for eight days and they have not found anything,” El Boursh told Al Jazeera on Monday (20/11).

Meanwhile, Hamas also flatly rejected Israel’s claim.

“The Israeli army’s statement regarding the use of Al Shifa Hospital to hold Zionist prisoners is misleading and false. Israel’s statement aims to cover up its security and military failures (in Gaza),” the group was quoted as saying by Al Jazeera.

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Israel is said to have a special motive for recruiting people Arab join the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Arab politicians in Israel consider that the registration of Arab citizens as Israeli troops is politically motivated. The IDF allegedly intends to divide Arab citizens in Israel.

Arab-Israeli member of the Knesset, Hanin Zoabie, claimed that Israel was targeting poor and jobless people to become soldiers.

“Ninety percent of Arabs serving in the Israeli army have no equality with Israelis. Israel does not need them to protect its security, this is a political issue, the first is divide and rule.” said Zoabie.

He said that so far the world community may have misunderstood what the Israeli army actually is. Most people believe that these defense forces were dominated by Jews.

The Haganah, Palmach, Lehi and Irgun organizations were indeed armed groups that originally existed during Israel’s independence. Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion decided to unite a single force with the formation of the IDF on May 26, 1948, as reported by Al Majalla.

However, the IDF developed not only to represent Jews. Today, the IDF represents all nations, namely Israeli Jews, Druze, Muslims, Arabs, Bedouins and Christians all brothers.

The Druze, an Arabic-speaking minority group, became the highest number of IDF enlistees in Israel because of the “Blood Covenant” in 1956. More than 80 percent of Druze men enlisted as IDF soldiers.

Many Druze people join the IDF

The Druze tribe is designated by the Israeli government as an ethnic community separate from Palestinian Muslims and Christians in Israel. Arab citizens of Israel are called Israeli Arabs.

They are the descendants of 160,000 Palestinians who remained when Israel declared independence in 1948.

Arabs make up one-fifth of Israel’s non-Jewish population. Israeli law does not force Arab Muslims, Christians, or Bedouins to register as IDF troops.

However, in recent years, the number of Israeli Arab men and women enlisting in the IDF has increased drastically.

“It is an honor, holding an assault rifle in one hand and a Koran in the other, to defend my homeland, Israel” said Sergeant Emad, a young Arab Israeli.

Ashraf Ashkar, a 35-year-old Israeli Arab, also said that his friends served in the IDF in the area that was hit by Hamas on October 7.

“I talk to them all the time, I have a friend, an Arab, who joined the reserves last week,” said Ashkar, quoted by CNN.

Israeli President’s response to Arabs in the IDF

Israeli President Izaac Herzog expressed pride and respect for those who want to register as IDF troops.

Some Israeli Arabs feel a sense of belonging and loyalty to Israel which is what motivates them to join the IDF.

“Because this is my homeland, I am part of this country and I want to contribute.” said Sergeant Sami Heib, a 20 year old man.

“The fact that I come from a minority group is probably the reason why the IDF treats me more preferentially, because they want me to feel welcome here,” he added.

A number of Israeli Arab officers also received the ‘Best Service Commendation’ award at last year’s Independence Day Ceremony.

“I was raised with Islamic values, and those values taught me that loyalty to the homeland is something sacred and an obligation. This is why I carry my weapon to defend Israel.” said Officer Anas Safedi.

IDF persuasion recruits Arabs

The IDF is said to be very adept at implementing its member recruitment strategy. One of the IDF’s missions is to recruit as many Arab citizens of Israel as possible.

The Covid-19 pandemic played an important role for the IDF in attracting the hearts of the Arab community in Israel.

“During the pandemic, IDF soldiers were deployed to deliver food and medicine to the elderly and sick. They took part in coronavirus awareness campaigns and later helped set up vaccine centers and so on. The IDF’s efforts were highly appreciated by Muslims living in villages and towns. You could say the fear factor has disappeared, because people can see with their own eyes how tirelessly the IDF works to protect the entire population of Israel.” said a senior IDF official.

“Times have changed, the younger generation of Israeli Arabs are more aware of what the IDF is and what it can offer them in terms of career opportunities in the armed forces or further education post-army life. People want to join the army to improve their situation and in at the same time they want to contribute and strengthen the security of their country, Israel.” said a senior IDF official from the Employment Directorate.

The IDF continues to carry out large-scale troop recruitment efforts by distributing invitations to Muslim youth in Israel through various social media platforms.

“Israeli prisoners will not be released until our prisoners are released and after a ceasefire is in place,” he continued.

“All that remains of Israeli prisoners are soldiers and civilians serving in the military,” stressed Saleh Al-Arouri.

Apart from that, Hamas also said its group was willing to return Israeli bodies in exchange for the return of Palestinian bodies.

“(Hamas is ready to exchange) the bodies of dead Israelis in exchange for our own martyrs. But, we need time to exhume these bodies,” said Al-Arouri.

The ceasefire in Gaza ended on Friday (1/12) after there was no renewal of the agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Israel and the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, agreed to a ceasefire on November 24 which was extended twice.

After the ceasefire ended, so far more than 180 Palestinians have been reported killed and hundreds more injured. Meanwhile, the total number of casualties after the Israeli aggression began on October 7 reached more than 15,000, dominated by women and children.
