Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Military Israel announced Yitzhar Hofman, a 36-year-old platoon commander in the Sheldag Unit, was killed in combat in the north Palestine Gaza Strip on Wednesday (31/1).

The Sheldag unit is a special forces unit under the Israeli air force. This unit is considered one of the most elite troops in the Zionist military.

Israeli military forces continue to launch attacks in the Gaza Strip and kill tens of thousands of Palestinians in a war that is almost entering its fourth month.

Quoted Middle East Eye, Recently, Israel has intensified attacks in southern Gaza because it claims to have eradicated the Hamas group in the north.

However, Wednesday’s attack shows that Hamas still exists there and is carrying out significant attacks against Israel.

Even though Israel has received a warning from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to do everything it can to prevent genocide.

In its ruling, the ICJ stated that Israel must ensure that its troops do not commit genocide and also do not destroy evidence related to genocide.

If it is proven that someone provoked genocide, Israel is obliged to punish that party. Apart from that, Israel is also required to open humanitarian access to distribute aid to Gaza residents.

Palestinians in Gaza are currently being hit by a serious humanitarian crisis, especially in the midst of the cold and rainy season.

Conditions in refugee camps are worrying because they are filled with puddles and there is no clean water and food.

There is also no access to health care to treat people injured as a result of the war because most hospitals are almost collapsed.

As of Friday (2/2), more than 27 thousand Palestinians had died as a result of Israel’s brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip which had been going on since 7 October. More than 70 percent of the victims killed were children and women.

Saudi Arabia Issues New Ultimatum to Israel to Stop Aggression in Palestine

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Arab Saudi returned the ultimatum Israel to immediately stop aggression in the Gaza Strip, Palestine.

Saudi emphasized that Israel’s desire for normalization with Riyadh will never be realized if it continues to carry out aggression against Palestine.

The Saudi ambassador to the United States, Princess Reema bint Bandar al-Saud, said that her party would not continue talks on normalization if Israel continued to carry out attacks on Gaza.

“I think the most important thing to realize is that Saudi has not put the issue of normalization on the table [dengan Israel] as the focus of its policy. Saudi puts peace and prosperity as its main focus,” Princess Reema told a panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“Saudi has been quite clear. If there is still violence on the ground and killings continue, we cannot talk about the day after the war,” he continued, as quoted AFPThursday (18/1).

This is a new Saudi ultimatum after previously urging Israel to commit to establishing a Palestinian state, as part of the reconciliation discourse and part of the post-war reconstruction plan for Gaza.

This plan is the result of the hard work of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken who visited the Middle East last week to persuade and lobby countries in the region to help rebuild Gaza when the war ends.

However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected this discourse. He emphasized that his country was not ready to make an agreement that would allow the formation of a Palestinian state.

Saudi and Israel have reached a significant stage in normalizing relations after years of tension.

However, as a result of Israel’s aggression in Gaza, Saudi canceled the plan for reconciliation.

Saudi Arabia has never recognized Israel and did not participate in the 2020 Abraham Accords, a US-brokered agreement between Israel and a number of Arab and Muslim-majority countries to restore diplomatic ties.

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

United Nations Security Council (DK PBB) passed the resolution initiated United States of America about the militia attack Houthi Of wealth in the Red Sea, Wednesday (10/1).

The resolution urges the Houthis to immediately stop all attacks in the Red Sea targeting commercial vessels, especially those linked to Israel. This Houthi attack took place as an effort by the Houthis to defend Palestine which is currently facing brutal Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.

“Attacks that impede global trade and undermine the rights and freedom of navigation as well as regional peace and security,” the resolution was quoted as saying AFP.

However, two permanent members of the UN Security Council, namely Russia and China, chose to abstain along with non-permanent members such as Mozambique and Algeria.

The four countries expressed concern that the Israel vs Hamas war would spread and trigger potential military attacks by Western countries against Houthi targets in Yemen, as quoted Al Jazeera.

The UN also has similar concerns. The spokesperson for the UN Secretary General admitted that he was worried that if there was a Western attack it could have a very bad impact on Yemen, which is currently still in decline due to the ongoing civil war.

The Houthis have recently been in the spotlight after attacking ships in the Red Sea since Zionist forces launched aggression against Palestine.

Before Israel’s aggression against Palestine, the Houthis often launched drones in the Red Sea.

After the aggression, they claimed to have helped Palestine by attacking ships affiliated with Israel and attacking the Zionist state.

Intensive attacks from the Houthis have forced shipping companies to change longer routes, causing costs to increase.

The Houthis’ actions worried Israel’s ally, the United States. They even formed a coalition to stand guard in the Red Sea to prevent attacks by this group.

A number of parties have warned of a wider escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after many parties are involved.

Israel launched aggression on October 7. During their operations they attacked residents and civilian objects such as hospitals and refugee camps.

As a result of the Israeli attack, more than 23,000 people in Palestine died.

“We see the countries of the world flooding with weapons for the occupying country (Israel),” Haniyeh said, quoted AFP.

“The time has come (for Muslim countries) to support the resistance with weapons, because this is not the battle of the Palestinian people alone,” Haniyeh said.

At the end of December, Haniyeh emphasized that Hamas rejected a temporary ceasefire with Israel. Haniyeh expressed this rejection during negotiations with Israel in Cairo, Egypt, on December 21 2023.

Hamas insisted that Israel stop aggression against Palestine permanently, as a condition for the release of the hostages.

One of the issues discussed in the negotiations was the issue of the release of hostages by Islamic Jihad, and their exchange with Palestinians who were held captive by Israel.

Source Reuters revealed that the discussions were tough between each party involved.

Israel previously requested the release of 40 Hamas hostages in exchange for a week-long ceasefire. Israel says there are currently more than 100 hostages in Gaza.

Meanwhile, the death toll from Israel’s aggression against Palestine has exceeded 22 thousand. Of the tens of thousands of victims, more than half were women and children.

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

The team Israel launched an indiscriminate attack on Lebanon and killed the commander of the militia in the southern state, Hezbollah, on Monday (8/1).

Hezbollah confirmed that one of their commanders was killed as a result of the Israeli attack.

They identified the dead “commander” as Wissam Hassan Tawil.

Hezbollah also said Tawil was killed “on the road to Jerusalem.”

Regarding the attack, Lebanese security officials also spoke out.

“[Tawil] was killed in an Israeli attack that targeted his car in the south,” he said.

The official added that Tawil holds an important position in Hizbullh.

“He had a major role in organizing Hezbollah operations in the south,” the official said.

The attack on Tawil took place after a Hamas deputy leader was killed in Beirut last week.

A number of parties believe that the murder could trigger a wider escalation.

The murder of two leaders of the resistance group also occurred when Israel launched aggression against Palestine since October 7.

Since then, Israel has pounded Gaza hard. They also attacked residents and civilian objects such as hospitals and refugee camps.

To date, the death toll in Palestine due to Israeli attacks has reached more than 23,000 people.

At the beginning of the Israeli operation, Hezbollah also attacked the Zionist state. They claim they will help Hamas until Israeli troops stop aggression.
