BEDFORD COUNTY,โข Va. – Christopher Andrew Withey was arrested in North Carolina on october 15 following an undercover operation conducted by the southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, in conjunction with the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest, made in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, was a joint โขeffortโ with theโข Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Withey is facing threeโค felony charges in Virginia under Virginia Code 18.2-374.3, relating to the useโค of interaction systems to facilitate offenses involving children.He was charged with one count and two subsequentโ offence counts under the same code.
