inje County Bustlesโ with a November Sports โฃCalendar
Inje County, Gangwon Province is experiencing a surge in activity as it โhostsโฃ a diverse seriesโค of nationwide sports competitions throughout November. These events are reinforcing inje’s reputation as aโ “city of โฃsports” and providing a significant economic โขboost to the local community.
The month began with โsuccessful tournaments in tennis and soccer. From october 31st โคto November 3rd, the ‘2025 โTecnifibre National Youth Tennis Tournament’ showcased the talent of over 400 elementary school athletes atโ the Inje Tennis Court and Wontong Tennis Court, organized by the โDream Tree Tennis โFoundation. โฃInstantly following, from November 1st to 2nd, the ’22nd Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism National Women’s Soccer Tournament’ drew over 500 female soccer players to Inje โPublic Stadium and its grass field, hostedโ by the Korea Football Association.
The momentumโ continues with โthe โ’46th National University Taekwondo Club Championship’ scheduled forโฃ November 8th and 9th at inje Multipurpose Gymnasium and Inje gymnasium, โคanticipating overโ 1,100 university athletes. Simultaneously, the ’27th Haneulnaerin Inje โCounty Governor’s National Kendo Tournament’ willโ take place at Wontong gymnasium, featuring more then 500 kendo practitionersโ and hosted by the โInje County Kendo Association with support from Inje County and โthe Inje County Council.
November 15th will seeโฃ two further competitions: the ’15th Gangwon โฃSpecial Self-Governing Province Governor’s National Healthโค Qigong Competition’ atโ Wontong Gymnasium,with approximately 400 participants,and the ’31st Gangwon Special โSelf-Governing Province Association President’s Gateballโ Tournament’ at Wontong Sports Park Stadium,a โคtwo-day event promoting intergenerational connection.
Concluding the โฃautumn sports season, the ‘2025 โBasketball I-League โChampionship’ will be held from โขNovember 29th to 30th โคacross Inje โMultipurpose Gymnasium, โInje Gymnasium, and Nam-myeon Gymnasium, organized โฃby โขthe Korea Basketball association and โคfeaturing โover 800 youth basketball players.
Beyondโ these competitions, the Injeโ Training Center is also โขserving as a crucialโข training ground.โ The Korea Para Volleyball Association’s women’s โsitting volleyball national team will be training at the centerโฃ fromโ November 6th to 22nd, following a similar training periodโ completed by the men’s teamโ lastโ month.
