At the Icheon Forum, SK Chairman Chey Tae-won emphasized ‘deep change’ (fundamental innovation) and the active speaking of opinions (Speak-Out) by members as the starting point for happiness.

This year’s Icheon Forum, held for four days from the 21st, covered ▲innovation of working methods ▲securing future capabilities of members ▲evaluation and compensation ▲customer stories ▲globalization ▲improvement of communication between the board of directors and members. In the working style innovation session, the results of experiments were presented showing that flexible working hours contributed to happiness, productivity, communication and collaboration, and increased sense of belonging. About 200 people from 14 teams from 8 affiliates participated in this experiment and designed their own working hours and spaces.

In the employment stability session, members discussed ways to build an infrastructure that can develop future capabilities to solve new problems in an uncertain business environment such as changes in business structure. The Icheon Forum, a knowledge management platform representing SK Group, started out as an executive learning forum, but expanded into a collective intelligence platform in which members also participate as an untact method was added during the COVID-19 era.

About 110 directors from six subsidiaries met with members at a pre-sub-forum to share opinions on board-centered management and strengthening the implementation of the ‘governance story’. An SK official said, “The voices of the members gathered at the Icheon Forum will serve as a catalyst for accelerating the practice of ‘deep change'” and “we will design the best plan for each organization and actively implement it.”
