Global Studios’ ‘Terrifier‘ Haunted House deliversโ Gruesome โขExperience for Horror Nights
ORLANDO, FL – Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) 2023 โขfeatured a highly detailed and terrifying โฃhaunted house based on the Terrifier film franchise, laudedโ for its โฃfaithfulโค recreation of the films’โค most iconic and โคgruesome scenes. Both the Orlando โand Hollywood versions โคof the house have been praised for their immersive environments and commitment to the source material’s violentโฃ aesthetic.
The haunted house aims to capture the โขworld as envisioned by Terrifier โ creatorโข damien Leone, going beyondโค simply recreating killsโ to build an environment entirely shaped by Art the Clown‘s twisted perspective. “What excited โJohn and I and our โฃteams wasโค not onyl paying off everything in the filmsโ but also creating a world that is completely Art’sโค creation,” said Mike Aiello, โขsenior director โฃof Universal Orlando Resort Entertainment.
Highlightsโ include a recreation of the Clown Cafe dream sequence in theโฃ Orlando house, featuringโค a jump scare with the character ofโค dream Sienna presenting a plated heart, andโ a Christmas mall Santa scene in the Hollywood house, complete with โwater spray โto simulate Art’s signature bloody attacks.
Accordingโ to HHN Creative Director John Murdy, the designโ intentionally createsโ a sense of unease, “We wanted โคtoโค plant this seed in our guest’s mind that wherever they go inโ this house, โคthere’s aโ good possibilityโ thatโฃ they’re โgoing to be sprayed with blood.”โ The house also includes Easter eggs referencing other infamous kills from the Terrifier films, such as โฃthe โHalloween โคscalping and โtheโฃ bathroom scene.
Leone himself expressed his satisfaction with the โhouses, stating, “Now โคtruthfully, the attention to detail in this house is just incredibleโฆBrilliant. Itโ reallyโค is.โค You โguys knocked โฃit out of the park.” The โsuccess of the Terrifier house is attributed to the โcollaborative โeffort of the Universal team and David Howard Thornton’s portrayalโ of Artโค the Clown,โข which has become iconicโ within the horror community.
