Barcelona‘s Gavi Shows Positive Signs in Knee Recovery
Barcelona midfielder Gavi is experiencing a “slight improvement” in his injured knee, according to a report from Jijantes FC. the news offers a boost to the club, which is currently pursuing a conservative treatment plan for the 21-year-old.
Gavi sustained the injury late last month, a setback particularly concerning as it affected the same knee previously operated on for an ACL tear. Initial concerns centered around the possibility of arthroscopic surgery, but Barcelona opted against immediate intervention, choosing instead to focus on rest, recuperation, and ongoing evaluation.
The positive progress in Gavi’s condition suggests the injury is healing as expected, potentially allowing Barcelona to continue with its current non-surgical approach. Club officials met with Gavi’s representatives today to review his progress and map out the next steps.
Currently, the plan is for Gavi to continue conservative treatment for another week, followed by a reassessment.Though, should his condition fail to improve, surgery will become unavoidable, a scenario the player is keen to postpone.
barcelona is hoping Gavi will be fit enough to participate in matches following the October international break. Manager Hansi Flick and the club are not rushing his return, prioritizing a full recovery.
