Google is set to unveil the Pixel 10a on February 18, 2026, with retail sources confirming nearly all technical specifications for the upcoming device. While the phone doesn’t represent a radical departure from its predecessor, the Pixel 9a, it offers key improvements in durability and charging speed.
The Pixel 10a will closely resemble the Pixel 9a in overall design, retaining the Tensor G4 chip, 8GB of RAM, and a 6.3-inch P-OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to reports. Google has focused on refining the user experience with software updates and material enhancements.
A significant upgrade comes in the form of Gorilla Glass 7i protecting the display, a substantial improvement over the Gorilla Glass 3 found on previous models. This new glass is designed to offer increased resistance to everyday drops and scratches. The phone itself is also slightly lighter and more compact, improving portability.
The Pixel 10a addresses a common criticism of earlier budget Pixel phones with a boost to wired charging speed. While maintaining a 5,100mAh battery capacity, the charging rate has been increased from 23W to 45W, nearly doubling the previous charging pace. The availability of wireless charging remains uncertain, with current leaks not mentioning the feature, despite its inclusion in the Pixel 9a. It remains unclear whether Google has removed wireless charging to reduce costs or if this detail is simply absent from current information.
The device will launch with Android 16 and benefit from Google’s commitment to long-term software support, receiving seven years of OS and security updates. This extended support ensures the Pixel 10a will remain current until 2033.
Pricing for the Pixel 10a will start at €499 (approximately $590) for the 128GB model in Europe. Google is offering a limited-time promotion during the pre-order period, making the 256GB version available at the same price as the 128GB model. The phone will be available in Obsidian, Fog, Lavender, and Berry color options.
The Tech Buzz reported that Google’s Pixel 9A is currently available for $349, ahead of the 10A launch.
