Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos begins its global celebration on February 28, 2026, offering players two days of in-game events culminating on March 1st. The event, which also took place in Tainan, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, California, from February 20th to 22nd, focuses on Pokémon from the Kalos region, originally featured in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Players can participate in the global event for free, experiencing rotating habitats, raids, and special egg hatches. A ticket, priced at $9.99, unlocks boosted shiny Pokémon encounter rates, additional items, and exclusive Special Research tasks. The core gameplay window runs from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time each day, with certain bonuses extending until midnight.

The event’s structure revolves around hourly habitat rotations, each featuring a distinct set of Pokémon. From 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the Central Village will host Chespin, Ralts, Furfrou (Natural form), and Dedenne. The Mountain Manor will be the location for Fennekin, Pancham, Espurr, Phantump, and Pumpkaboo between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and again from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Coastal Lab will feature Froakie, Inkay, Skrelp, Clauncher, and Goomy from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Mixed habitats, occurring from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, will offer spawns from all three locations, alongside the Kalos starters and fossil Pokémon like Tyrunt, and Amaura.

Incense use during the event will attract Unown A, K, L, O, and S, with increased encounter rates during the mixed habitat hours. Reduced egg hatch distances will encourage incubator use, with 10 km eggs potentially containing Hawlucha and Klefki, both with shiny variants. Routes will provide access to regional forms of Flabébé and up to 25 Zygarde Cells daily.

Raids will feature a tiered structure. One-star raids will include Honedge and costumed Pikachu, with Honedge offering a chance to encounter its shiny form. Five-star raids will spotlight Xerneas and Yveltal. Mega Raids will rotate throughout the event, including Mega Dragonite, Mega Victreebel, and Mega Malamar, with Super Mega Raids requiring larger groups of at least eight players. Players are advised to utilize Fairy or Steel-type Pokémon against Xerneas and Rock or Dark-type Pokémon against Yveltal.

Ticket holders gain access to exclusive Snapshot encounters, featuring Latias on February 28th and Latios on March 1st, as well as a guaranteed Shiny Diancie encounter. The ticket also provides daily raid passes, Super Incubators, and Star Pieces. Free players will experience boosted shiny rates on select Pokémon, while ticket holders receive a fixed 1/128 shiny encounter rate for most wild Pokémon.

Niantic hosted a Mega Night event in conjunction with the in-person Kalos Tour in Los Angeles, running from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on February 20th, 21st, and 22nd. This event featured event-themed Pokémon, timed research opportunities, exclusive Mega Raids, and a live musical performance by GlitchxCity.

Players are encouraged to prepare by stocking up on incubators, saving Star Pieces, powering up raid counters and Mega Pokémon, clearing storage space, and pre-planning routes. The Road to Kalos GO Pass offers early rewards and Zygarde progress before the event begins. Players can also take advantage of the ability to make up to six special trades per day at a reduced cost.
