Shell Gas Stations in Jakarta Still Facing Fuel Shortages Despite Pertamina Supply
Jakarta, December 6, 2025 – Several Shell gas stations in Jakarta remain partially out โขof fuel despite a recent supply of 100,000 barrels of base fuel delivered by Pertamina Patra Niaga to Shell Indonesia, according to detikcom monitoring. Stations visited in โคMampang Prapatan, Jalan Captainโ Tendean, โฃJalan Gatot Subroto โMenteng Dalam, andโ Jalan Prof.DR. Soepomo Tebet were observed to be limited to dieselโ and V-Power Diesel sales, wiht petrolโฃ stocks depleted.
Officers at the Shell Tebet station stated they โhad “no data yet onโฃ when [petrol] will be filled again,” adding, “As of now, petrol for motorbikes is still empty, there is only diesel for cars.” A similarโข response was given by โฃstaff at the Jalan Tendean location, who confirmed a โฃlack of information โคregarding the availability of other fuel โคvariants.
The fuel supply from Pertamina Patra Niaga was intended to bolster energy security and supportโ private gas station operators. “The distributionโฃ toโ Shell Indonesia confirms that Pertamina Patra Niagaโ is not only ready to meet theโฃ fuel needs for โPertamina’s gas station network, but is also a strategic partner for private gas station operators,” said Pertamina Patra Niagaโฃ Corporate Secretary,โ Roberth MV Dumatubun, in a statement on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Pertamina โขPatra Niaga has distributed a total ofโค 430,000 barrelsโข to all private โคgas stations, includingโ BP-AKR and Vivo networks.
As of Saturday, December 6, โ2025, officers continue to be stationed โคat the Shell โคlocations, focusing on diesel and V-Power diesel sales alongside other non-fuel products.
