Reba McEntire Returns to Sitcoms with “Happy’s Place” Season 2, Plus Weekend Viewing Guide
Country music icon Reba McEntire is back on teh small screen with the second season of NBC’s “Happy’s Place,” premiering tonight, while the first season is available for streaming on Peacock. The series follows McEntire as Bobbie, owner of a Tennessee bar run with her half-sister (Belissa Escobedo). This marks another chapter in McEntire’s triumphant acting career, which began with 1990’s “Tremors” and includes six seasons of “Reba,” appearances on “The Voice,” and roles in “Young sheldon” and “Big Sky.”
McEntire’s return to sitcoms comes as audiences seek comforting and familiar entertainment options. The show offers a blend of humor and heart,exploring themes of family and finding love. A recent interview with USA TODAY revealed McEntire’s own blossoming romance with co-star rex Linn, who plays her fiancé on the show. “Rex will say, ‘You’re the prettiest woman in the world,'” McEntire shared. “And I’ll say, ‘OK, put your glasses back on.'”
