Royal Marriage Secrets: Charles & Diana’s Unhappy Relationship

by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor September 11, 2025
written by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor

London – A new book by former royal butler Paul Burrell alleges King Charles married Princess Diana primarily to produce an heir, revealing a stark contrast to the public’s perception of their fairytale romance. The Royal Insider: My Life Wiht The Queen, The King, and Princess Diana, released in September 2025, details a marriage built on obligation rather than affection, according to Burrell.

The couple announced their engagement on February 3, 1981, with Diana appearing joyful. However, Burrell recounts Diana telling him Charles questioned the very concept of love, stating, “Whatever the meaning of love.” This sentiment is echoed in Andrew morton’s biography,Diana: Her True Story – In Her Own Words.

Burrell claims Diana confided that Charles explicitly told her, “I never loved you. I married you just to have children.” This revelation underscores the strategic nature of the union, focused on securing the royal lineage with the birth of Prince william in 1982 and Prince Harry in 1984. Burrell says Charles referred to William and Harry as “heir and reserve,” illustrating the transactional aspect of their relationship.

Diana reportedly lamented, “I cried until he fell asleep that night because I knew my marriage had ended. I gave him four good years and she left. And for the rest of that time I had to maintain my pretense in the world.” Despite the unhappiness, Burrell asserts Diana never desired a divorce, maintaining affection for Charles despite it being unreciprocated.

The marriage ultimately dissolved with a formal announcement by Prime Minister John Major on December 10, 1992, and the divorce finalized on august 29, 1996, after 15 years. Following the divorce, Charles resumed his relationship with Camilla, now Queen Camilla, while Princess Diana’s legacy endures as a symbol of resilience and emotional strength.

Title: Jakarta DGT Investigates Leony’s Inheritance Tax Dispute

by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor September 11, 2025
written by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor

Jakarta, Indonesia ⁢- Singer Leony Vitria hartanti has ⁣sparked a public debate ⁣regarding Indonesian inheritance tax laws after voicing frustration over a 2.5%⁤ tax levied when transferring ownership of a property inherited from her father. The ⁣issue gained traction following Leony’s social ⁣media post detailing the unexpected expense, prompting widespread discussion about the ‍financial burden ‌placed on heirs.

The tax, applied to the assessed value of the house, reportedly amounts‌ to tens of millions of⁣ Indonesian Rupiah, despite Leony simply seeking to update the property’s name. this revelation comes as the Directorate⁤ General of Taxes (DGT) faces increased‍ scrutiny and public questioning ‌regarding the fairness and transparency of its inheritance tax policies. Leony’s experiance highlights a concern shared by many Indonesians – the potential for meaningful tax⁤ liabilities⁢ when inheriting assets from family members, even when no ‍actual ⁤sale⁣ or financial gain occurs.

“So, such as, I want to⁣ change the‌ name‍ of ⁤the house in the name of Bokap and keep his name, he has to tax the heir to pay for 2.5 percent of his home value,” Leony explained in her post, using the Indonesian term for ‌”father.” “Which is why I have to spend tens of millions of more money for ⁢the name ⁤of the door.”

Leony expressed feeling penalized despite consistently fulfilling her tax obligations, including annual property taxes. “I ⁣feel this is⁤ unfair, like this is the house when we buy we already pay taxes, every year we pay the United Nations, then now we ‍only replace the ⁤name ‌from Bokap to me, I⁤ have‍ to pay again, hit again,” she stated.

The artist’s ⁢complaint resonated ⁢with numerous social ⁣media users, many of whom shared similar experiences with inheritance taxes. The outpouring of support and questions directed towards the DGT underscores a need for greater clarity and potential reform of inheritance tax regulations in Indonesia. The DGT has not yet issued a formal response to Leony’s concerns or the broader public discussion.

The victim’s body is currently at⁤ the State Hospital mortuary awaiting floodwaters to recede.

Suharyanto clarified that the⁤ emergency status declaration does not ⁤indicate a critical or remarkable situation, but is a‌ procedural step ‌to unlock central government support. “One of the requirements is that the ⁢regional government asks for assistance…emergency alert ‍and emergency response,” he said.

VIENNA‍ – Insolvency administrators for Signa Holding have given ‌the green light for the Dichand‍ family too acquire full ownership of Austria’s “Kronen Zeitung” newspaper, ending a complex period⁣ of shared ownership and clearing a key hurdle for the transaction announced in June. The‌ deal remains⁢ subject to antitrust ⁢approval and other market-related conditions.

The move consolidates control of ‌the⁢ popular ⁣daily back into the ‌hands of⁤ the founding family, nearly six decades after Johann Hermann ‍”Hans” Dichand established the paper in 1959.
