Black Ops 7’s Endgame โMode to โBecome Universally Accessible
Treyarch will remove theโค campaign completion requirement โfor accessingโข Black Ops 7’s popular โฃEndgame mode โon November 21, 2025. Previously, players were restricted toโ playing Endgame eitherโ by finishingโฃ the game’sโ campaign or joining a โlobby hosted by someone โขwho had. The change addresses player feedback โcriticizing the initial design choice, which many believed discouragedโ participation in the new mode due to dissatisfaction with this year’s campaign.
Endgame takes place on the same open-world island map featured in the campaign, but challenges โคplayersโฃ to land with no equipment and completeโ objectives, โmissions,โข and quests scattered across the environment-solo or cooperatively. Players gain power through combat, โขlooting, andโ activity completion, allowingโ access to more challenging enemies and โvaluable loot. The goal is to extractโ with acquired โฃitems before time expires; failure results in losing all progress.
Treyarch described the positive reception to endgame in a November 19,2025,tweet: “We’ve seen โan awesome โresponse to Endgame from players who’ve already been droppingโฃ in,soโ we’re making itโข available to everyone โin #BlackOps7 starting Friday,Nov.โ 21.”
The โdevelopers will also reward players who โขcompleted the campaignโ andโ engaged with Endgame prior โฃto the change with XP boosters and Gobblegum packsโ as a โgesture of thankfulness. The mode draws inspirationโฃ from extractionโข shooters โฃlike Arc Raiders โฃwhileโ offering a โคless punishing experience, according to reports.
