Motorola is preparing to launch the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, a device poised to compete in the mid-to-high range smartphone market in 2026. New leaks suggest the phone will feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and 12GB of RAM, according to reports from MSN and Android Headlines.
The Edge 70 Fusion is expected to boast a remarkably slim design with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display featuring a 1.5K resolution and a swift 144Hz refresh rate. This combination aims to deliver a fluid user experience for both content consumption, and gaming. Notably, the display is projected to reach a peak brightness of 5200 nits, enhancing visibility even in direct sunlight.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, fabricated using a 4-nanometer process, will power the device. This processor is designed to balance power efficiency with performance, suitable for everyday tasks and moderately demanding games. The phone will be available with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, paired with internal storage options of 256GB or 512GB.
Camera capabilities are too expected to be a key feature. Leaks indicate a 50-megapixel primary sensor from Sony’s LYTIA series, complete with optical image stabilization. This will be complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, aiming to deliver high-quality images across various lighting conditions. The front-facing camera is anticipated to range between 32 and 50 megapixels, catering to selfie enthusiasts and video calls.
A significant aspect of the Edge 70 Fusion is its battery capacity. Reports suggest a substantial 7000mAh battery, a relatively large size for a slim-profile phone. The device will also support 68W wired fast charging, enabling quick recharge times despite the battery’s capacity.
Durability is also a focus, with expectations of IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, alongside MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification. This suggests the phone is designed to withstand harsh conditions. The device will ship with Android 16 and is promised to receive three years of software updates.
With a projected price range of $400 to $500, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is expected to directly challenge competitors like the Redmi Note 15 Pro. Its large battery, bright display, and unique design are positioned as key differentiators in the competitive smartphone market.
