Toulon, France – The โowners of a villa featured inโ the popular rap music video โฃ”Heuss bastard her” by Jul and Heuss L’Enfoirรฉ are pursuing legal action seekingโ more โthan โฌ106.7 million in compensation for damages. The lawsuit, filed September 9th, namesโข Google France, YouTube parentโฃ company, luxury rental platform Homelly, and โmidi Midi Production, the song’s label, as defendants.
According to family lawyer Me Jรฉrรดme Janin,โ the owners were unaware their property wouldโข be used as a filming location and have as been repeatedly disturbed by passersby recognizing the villa from the video. “This house is not intended to serveโฃ for filming. The family was absolutely not aware,” Janin stated to L’Informรฉ.
The claimed amount is based on the initial view count of the music video, โwhich currently โexceeds 210 million views on YouTube, and may be adjusted as the case progresses.
Whileโฃ the Toulon judicial court initially deemed the action againstโ Google โขFrance inadmissible, citing jurisdiction with Google Ireland, the applicants areโ now redirecting their legal efforts to the โlatter.
