Researchers David Rowley and Jose Omo identified a flaw in the ProLogic lock’s “recovery code” system, designed for locksmith assistance.The default recovery code,”999999,” combined with a publicly known encryption code and a random variable,allows calculation of a code that can be relayed to Securam (the lock manufacturer) to reset the safe’s combination.
