Jarry Controversy: Allegations of Abuse on Film Set

by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor October 18, 2025
written by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor

Lately, everything has been successful for the comedian Jarry. He fills the theaters on his tour, is starring in the film “Le Jour D”, will soon present « The Imposter » sur TF1 and is working on the series adaptation of the comedy Retirement home. But it was precisely on the set of this film released in 2022 that the actor allegedly abused his status with technicians, costume designers and other collaborators according to witnesses interviewed by the Mediapart website.

Jokes and tendentious gestures

A witness interviewed (and who requested anonymity like all the witnesses to the Mediapart investigation), notes that the comedian “is very tactile” with the young actors and that “he touches the abs or shoulders a lot to see if they are muscular”. According to another technician present on the set of Retirement home“It’s all about the ass, he constantly makes tendentious jokes, and it ends up being degrading, even humiliating for people.”

Others accuse the actor of racist remarks when, for example, he nicknames a young black actor “Kirikou” or tries jokes like “You have to turn quickly, otherwise we won’t see you anymore.” »

Contacted by Mediapart, Jarry did not wish to answer the journalists’ questions, preferring to send them this message “I hope to have you in my room one day to understand my quest to bring people together regardless of their gender, religion, skin color! Living together that gives meaning to life. Take sincere care of yourself.” The investigation by the investigative media does not report any complaints against the comedian.

German Students Cultivate Cultural Understanding Through Ancient Art ‍of Lingnan ⁣Bonsai in⁤ Guangzhou

GUANGZHOU, October 17, 2025 – A⁣ group of German students ‍and educators immersed themselves in the delicate art of Lingnan bonsai this week, gaining‌ firsthand⁢ experience with a living intangible cultural heritage unique to⁢ Southern China. The exchange program, a collaboration between Guangzhou city authorities and German⁢ institutions, ⁤offered‍ a rare opportunity to explore not just the ⁣craftsmanship of miniature ⁢tree cultivation, but the underlying beliefs of harmony and balance embedded within‍ the practice.

Under‌ the guidance of a local Lingnan bonsai ⁤tutor, the german guests learned the techniques⁢ of pruning⁤ and shaping these miniature trees, delving into⁤ the ‌Chinese concept of “a world‍ in a pot.” When the tutor ⁢invited closer observation during ⁤a presentation, 15-year-old Clara Weber eagerly stepped forward.”in Germany, people‍ also prune plants in their gardens, but it’s very different from bonsai,” Clara said. “We don’t usually think of a single plant as a⁢ work to be created.”

The program, jointly organized‍ by the Guangzhou Municipal⁤ Education Bureau, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government, and⁣ the Guangzhou Municipal ⁢Forestry and Landscaping Bureau, extended ⁢beyond the bonsai workshop. The ⁢group ‍also toured the Frankfurt Garden‍ in⁤ Guangzhou’s Yuexiu Park, a⁢ baroque-style garden gifted by Frankfurt in 1996 to commemorate Guangzhou’s 2,210th anniversary. The garden features a statue of Goethe, mirroring the one in Frankfurt, symbolizing the enduring connection between the two cities.

Teacher Milica⁢ Bovan described the trip as an inspiring cultural experience. “This is an amazing opportunity to see a fully different culture,” ⁤she said. “What I ⁤especially like is how you integrate your ancient⁤ culture into‍ everyday classes, so that students can not only focus on‌ modern things⁣ but also keep nourishing what your culture has given.”

The exchange underscores Guangzhou’s commitment to fostering international understanding through cultural preservation⁢ and education. Lingnan bonsai, originating ⁢in the Guangdong province,is recognized for its unique style emphasizing naturalism and artistic expression, and is a key element of China’s rich horticultural traditions.

Rapper⁢ lomepal Faces Renewed Scrutiny Following New Complaint in Rape Allegations

Paris,⁤ France – rapper ⁢Antoine Valentinelli, known professionally as Lomepal, is again facing accusations of sexual assault following a new complaint filed August 1st, according to a report ⁢published by Libération. This growth comes⁣ as three other women have come forward with allegations against the artist, detailing incidents occurring between 2018 and 2020.

The renewed legal action follows previous complaints that were dismissed earlier‍ this year. Marie and Miranda Starcevic have⁣ now joined as civil parties in the case, with Starcevic’s lawyer, Me Frédérique Pollet-Rouyer, criticizing the initial⁢ investigations for failing to adequately consider inconsistencies in Valentinelli’s statements and discrepancies between his account and those of individuals close to him.

Libération‘s report details allegations from four women. One accuser alleges that Lomepal initiated ⁤anal penetration without her consent and continued despite her ⁣refusal.Following the ‍incident, she claims he questioned her understanding⁤ of the word “no,” to which he reportedly responded, “We know very well what it means when you say no.” He has previously dismissed the accusations as “science-fiction” during a court confrontation.

Another accuser, identified as Audrey* (name changed by Libération),alleges that she met Lomepal in a nightclub in the fall of 2018 after the success of his gold-record⁣ album Flip. She claims he flirted with her, accompanied her home, and then insisted on coming inside while she expressed a ⁣desire to sleep. Audrey alleges he kissed⁤ her despite her resistance (“rembarrait”), and that he later called her a “whore” when leaving. She has chosen not to file a formal complaint at this time.

A third accuser, Raphaëlle,⁤ was ⁣among the first to file a complaint but has since withdrawn from pursuing legal action, citing the “coldness of the ‌system” and a “lack of consideration” for victims. she stated that the legal‌ process has hindered her ability to rebuild her life.

lomepal’s legal counsel, Mes julie Benedetti and Jacqueline Laffont, maintain that ⁢”justice has done its job and rendered its decision” following a “long investigation” involving interviews with the artist’s former partners, associates, and witnesses.

However,Marie disputes ⁣this account, claiming that⁣ certain individuals ⁤she and other accusers⁢ named were never contacted by investigators.
