Local Writer Offersโ Safeโ Spaceโ for Sharing Work, Upcoming Workshops
TUCSON, AZโค – โข Pima County Library is offering a unique opportunity โfor aspiring and established writersโฃ to recieve feedback and encouragement fromโ published author Sarah T. Dubb through free consultations and workshops, addressing the frequently enough-intimidating act of sharing personal writng.
Dubb, the library’s current writer-in-residence, understands the vulnerability inherent in exposing one’s work. “It can be very scary,”โฃ she acknowledged, noting the bravery of those who participate in her sessions. The consultations provide a supportive environment where writers of all levels and genres can discuss their work, knowing Dubb herself is familiar with extensive revision – she rewroteโ her novel “Birding withโ Benefits” five times. These โsessions aim to foster a welcoming space built on trust and acknowledge the courage it takes to share deeply personal writing.
Dubb’s consultations are available Thursdaysโ from 10 a.m. to noon and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. through November 13 (excluding October 9).Reservations are 30 โคminutes long and open one week inโ advance, requiring prompt registration due to high demand. โ Along โwith consultations, Dubb will host โtwo workshops: “Preservingโ Joy through Your โฃWriting Journey”โ on October 18 at Woods Memorial Library, and “writing Romance: Romance Beats, Pacing and Conflict” โขon Novemberโ 8 at Quincie Douglas Library.
