Bucharest, ‌Romania – Gaang, a Romanian AI startup founded by former Ericsson colleagues, has ⁣announced a new funding round of €1.6 million.The investment, ⁢led by Early‌ Game Ventures (EGV), includes support from European funds allocated through Romania’s National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR), alongside participation⁣ from Inspire Capital. Gaang is developing an AI-powered assistant designed⁣ to transform the way teams conduct and benefit from online meetings. The company, launched in 2020 by Iulian ‍Gheorghe, Raluca Trofin, and ‍Dan Huru, addresses ⁣a growing need for enhanced productivity and actionable insights ⁣in the increasingly virtual workplace.

Beyond Note-Taking: An Active AI Participant

The Gaang assistant seamlessly‍ integrates with popular platforms like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, ⁢and Zoom. Unlike customary meeting tools that passively record transcripts, Gaang’s AI actively participates ⁣in conversations. Following meetings, it delivers comprehensive‌ summaries, minutes, key conclusions, identified concerns, and assigned tasks directly to participants via email.For managers, ‌Gaang offers a dedicated analytics section providing valuable data and insights into team dynamics, meeting effectiveness, and actionable recommendations for betterment. Uber Eats is incentivizing users to contribute photos of their meals, aiming to enhance restaurant listings on its platform. The company announced that users in the U.S.can earn $3 in UberCash for photos that are selected to be featured. This initiative is part of Uber’s broader effort to improve the visual depiction of menu items, especially for restaurants that may not yet have high-quality images available.

To participate, Uber Eats users can submit their photos directly from the post-delivery order rating screen. By tapping on the “Add Photos” section, users can upload their culinary snapshots. However, this reward program is not universally applied to all restaurants. Users should verify eligibility by looking for a specific Uber Cash incentive banner displayed at the top of a restaurant’s profile page within the app.

Uber Eats has also provided detailed guidelines to help users capture the most appealing and selection-worthy photographs.
