Oppo’s Find X9 Set to Challenge iPhone 17 with Apple Ecosystem Integration,Cutting-Edge Display Tech
SHENZHEN,CHINA - Oppo is poised to directly challenge Apple’s anticipated iPhone 17 with its upcoming Find X9 series,boasting features designed to seamlessly integrate with Apple devices and pushing the boundaries of smartphone display technology. Leaks confirmed by Oppo’s Zhu suggest a premium device focused on video recording improvements, a groundbreaking flat screen design, and a new ColorOS 16 system with native Apple device support – a move signaling a direct appeal to users invested in the Apple ecosystem.
The Find X9’s strategy centers on bridging the gap between Android and iOS,a previously untapped market segment. By natively supporting Apple devices, including AirPods 4 as demonstrated by Zhu, Oppo aims to attract iPhone users seeking advanced Android features without sacrificing their existing Apple accessories. This, coupled with innovations in display technology and charging speeds, positions the Find X9 as a formidable competitor in the high-end smartphone market, potentially disrupting Apple’s dominance.
All Find X9 series phones will feature flat screens with remarkably thin bezels, reportedly reaching just 1.1mm on all sides. The screens will also incorporate eye protection technology and a special mode to reduce movement, enhancing user comfort. The phones will launch with ColorOS 16, which offers original support for Apple devices.
Beyond software, Oppo is upgrading the hardware. The Find X9 and X9 Pro are expected to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 processor and support 80W fast wired charging. Oppo is also moving away from visual fingerprint sensors, opting for sound ultrasound technology for enhanced security and reliability. A new “More Key” smart button will add further customization options.
The Find X9 series is also expected to deliver notable improvements in video recording capabilities. Oppo has not yet announced a release date or pricing for the Find X9 series, but industry analysts predict a launch in late 2024 or early 2025.
