Volkswagen Previews 2026 Senda: A Modernized โฃFamily โSedan
BUENOS AIRES – Volkswagen is laying the groundwork for a 2026 refresh of its Senda family car, aiming to โblend modern technology with the practicality that has defined โฃthe model for years. Details released this week outline two engine options, a focus onโค safety features, and โa lighter, more rigid chassis.
The Senda 2026 is poised to appeal to families seeking aโ balance of affordability, efficiency, and safety.Theโ update comes โas โthe automotive market increasingly prioritizes advanced โขdriver-assistance systems โand fuel economy, and Volkswagen isโ positioning the Senda to compete with rivals offering similar features at a comparable price point. The redesigned Senda will build upon the โฃlegacy of the model as a reliable andโ accessible vehicle for Argentinian families, while incorporating advancements in engineering and safety technology.
Two engine choices โฃwill be available: a 1.0 TSI โฃTurbo three-cylinder engine producing approximately 116 horsepower, โขpaired with either a 6-speed manual or โa 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, and a more powerful 1.4 TSI Turbo four-cylinder engine generating around 150 horsepower, coupled with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
The 2026 Senda will be built on Volkswagen’s MQB platform – currently used in models like the Golf and Polo – resulting in a lighter and more rigid structure. Independent suspension on allโ four wheels is plannedโ to enhance both comfort and stability, even โon uneven surfaces.
Safety will be a key focus, with the inclusion of features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking withโ pedestrianโฃ detection, and six airbags (front, side, and curtain). Thes features, combined withโฃ a reinforced body, are intended to make the 2026 Senda a highly safe and reliable family vehicle.
