OMAHA,Neb. – A Thanksgiving Day shooting, โbustling Black Friday shopping, and aโค festive tree lighting at theโข Durham Museum marked a busy holiday weekend in the Omaha โmetropolitan area.
The Omaha Police Department responded to aโ shooting Thursday evening โขat approximately 8:30 p.m. near 72nd and Dodge Streets.One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Concurrently, shoppers began โฃlining up early Friday morning for Black Friday deals, withโค many stores โopening their โขdoors as early as 5 a.m. Retailers reported important foot traffic throughout the day. The โDurham museum hosted its annual tree lighting ceremony Sunday โขevening, drawing crowds to celebrate the start of the โholiday season.
The 15thโ annual Heroes Gameโข between Nebraskaโค and Iowa is โฃscheduled for Friday at Memorial Stadium inโข Lincoln,with kickoff at 11 a.m.โ A pregame โshow will begin at 10 a.m. on 10/11.
