Officers responded to multiple 999 calls regarding the event on โthe โHattersley estate in Hyde, Tameside,โ beginningโข aroundโ 9pm.The incident unfolded after a planned house party โreportedly โคattracted a far larger crowd than anticipated, escalating into widespread anti-social behavior.Greater โManchester Police (GMP) โฃconfirmed that officers were met with hostility and missiles were thrown as they attempted โฃto disperse the gathering.Several arrests were made for offences including public order and criminal damage,though theโ exact number has not yet beenโ released.
GMP’s Tameside divisionโ stated on X (formerly Twitter) thatโ “significant resources”โ were deployed to the estate toโ restore order and ensure the safety of residents. Footage circulating on social media shows a large police presence, flashing lights, and debris scattered across the streets.
