Samsungโค to Unveil First Mixed Reality Headset at “Worlds wide Open” Event
Samsung is set to officially launch its first mixed reality headset on โOctoberโ 21st at an event titled “Worldsโค Wide Open,”โ Reuters reports.
Whileโ Samsung has previously alluded to โthe device, internally knownโ as “Project Moohan,” โขthe upcoming โฃevent is expected to provideโข comprehensive details regarding its features and specifications.
Project Moohan โwill be the inaugural product powered by Android XR,a new operating system jointly developed by Google,Qualcomm,and samsung. Android XR is โฃdesigned to support a range of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixedโข reality (MR) experiences, wiht a focus on integrating artificial intelligenceโข andโ delivering immersive user interactions.
Samsung positions its new headset as a groundbreakingโข product intendedโ to seamlessly integrate into daily โฃlife,enhancing userโ experiences and providing increased functionality.
The launch places โSamsung directly in competition with established players โin theโค mixed reality market, notably Meta, which currently holds a notable share. Samsung will also face competition from Apple, who are preparing to release a new iteration of their Vision Pro headset.
