Farmers’ Debt Relief Through BAAC AMC
Specific measures are being developed for the agricultural sector and Small and โคMedium Enterprises (SMEs). The bank for Agriculture and Agriculturalโข Cooperatives (BAAC) โขis establishing anโค Asset Management Company (AMC)โ by November to manage non-performing farmer loans. This initiativeโข intendsโ to assist approximately 100,000 farmers burdenedโค with โขover 7,000-8,000 million baht in debt through โขrestructuring options like principalโ reduction, โextended repayment periods, and facilitating re-entryโ into the credit system.
